16 and up you need a job. I think the system, does it fine. If they increased it anymore, than kids would be less likely to stay in school.

this is a great oprtunity believe a teen 16 and older may work,so long as it does not interfer with their education. At that age there are a lot of parents who tell their teens to get a job for the things they ( a good idea for the right teen. My son is 14 and he works and has his own bank account. He pays tithes at church and manages his time well. If a teen can manage it without it interfering with school work, it can be a great learning opportunity.

When I was a kid, I, myself and my two brothers all had part-time or summer jobs. I raised my children the same way. They worked and built up self-esteem in doing a good job, not to mention the paycheck they got. I think teen employment is wonderful as long as it's a safe environment. We learn from watching and participating. God bless all those teenage employees!

I think it is great, since it develops a good work ethic in them. But not too much work, as they are usually in school or sports, etc. and need to be kids! But a little to contribute to their own sense of independence, and also to help out with their expenses!
