If the answer is no, the rest of this is fairly irrelevant and you may go on with your day.

If the answer is yes...why on earth did he demand a human sacrifice as payment for sin? I realize that before this, animals were sacrificed and blood had to be spilled, etc etc to cover sin, but why couldn't God have just changed the rules? If he made them, he can change them, yes? If he can't change them, what is binding him to them? Is there something greater than God?

PLEASE do not read into my beliefs regarding this question. Please no ad hominem arguments; do not attack me, just answer the question.

I suppose one could argue that God "so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son." In other words, God wanted to make clear how much he cares for us.

When man first sinned, he had chosen to disobey God and go his own way. God cannot commune with a sinful spirit and the price of sin was spiritual death and physical death (which also represents spiritual dealth). Jesus was fully God and fully man (He was 200% I guess!). Being God He remained perfect and sinless during His life on earth. Jesus chose to give up His physical life on earth (blood sacrifice) and endured the consequences of our spiritual death after He died. However, because Jesus is God, He was able to leave Hell and return back to earth and, a little while later, Heaven. Since Jesus was perfect, His death on the cross paid the debt for all mankind's sins.

God is perfect. The rules He makes are perfect. He has integrity and will not go against His nature for any reason - because then He wouldn't be perfect! It is our responsibility to live up to the rules, not expect God to change them because we don't like or understand His way of doing things.

To most of the rest of answerers: so cynical and humanistic-that way of thinking just tries to man into God; man can't handle that job.

When Adam fell it was a universal fall, all creatures were effected through out our Fathers Kingdom, God in his eternal wisdom knew that the only way he could fix it was by a God giving his life for them. But if you actually think about it, Jesus dying did redeem us from our sins, this part was actually done in the Garden of Gethsamane, this is where Christ bleed great drops of blood. Dying on the cross was just to fulfill prophecy.

God is indeed bound by laws himself he can't just go doing whatever he likes. These laws have always existed with Gods.

If God broke his own law, he would be an unfair and hypocritical ruler. This is what Satan charged him with in the garden of eden when he told Eve not to eat the fruit, Satan said that he was unfair and didn't know what was best for mankind, he claimed mankind should be able to make their own decisions. God now has to clear his name from reproach, he can't do this by breaking his own laws. Enough time must pass by to prove that mankind needs God's guidance because we are not capable of ruling ourself in peace and harmony. During this time, out of love, God created an opportunity of salvation for mankind through his son. The sacrifice had to be a perfect man equal to Adam according to God's law of 'a life for a life'. This is the only way that his mistakes could be equally covered.

God did away with the blood sacrifice when Jesus was crucified. Jesus now represent that blood sacrifice. Hosea 6:6.
God required a blood sacrifice to prove obedience and when you sacrificed your best sheep, etc., you gave up the best of your flock. In other words, you gave up something valuable. In this you showed abidance and love.

God wants you love not a blood sacrifice.
Think about it.

God did change the rules. Instead of animals being sacrficed, cause animals blood was not a perfect sacrfice. Once a year they had to go back and do it over. So God sent Jesus knowing his blood was pure and would pay for sin once and for all. Now nothing has to die for sin again. Once someone gets saved thats it their sin is paid for in full.

I believe that you need to understand the essence of God first. His Essenes is : Sovereignty, Righteousness, Justice, Love, Eternal Life, Omniscience, Omnipresence, Omnipotence, Immutability and Veracity.
Since God can have no association with sin, His Justice and Righteousness must be satisfied before He can have a relationship with sinful mankind. "But god demonstrates his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died (as a substitute) for us. (Rom5:8) No there is nothing greater than God. "God is love" (1John 4:16b) He loves everyone equally. Everyone. Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"God" *is* the universe and its laws, and we're all a part of that.

"God" never demanded blood sacrifice. Those who spoke for "God" thousands of years ago fashioned their deity from prehistoric archetypes of god-monsters; these are the ones who invented a god who loved the smell of burning flesh, who ordered the slaughter of infants and demanded blood sacrifice. This god is an accidental mockery (an insult to the true "God" of the Cosmos), created from the nightmares of frightened, ignorant and bloody men.

properly, say you're a be certain. you want to have your baby/ren have a a strategies extra extra valuable courting with you than only a trifling thanks regularly times. you do not ought to thank God each TIME for something. telling Him "thanks for each thing you've finished for me and given me" is totally wonderful. at the same time as speaking/ praying with God, you're literally not dropping over an hour telling Him what you've finished incorrect. back, a lifeless ringer for a be certain, you'll want your baby/ren to inform you each thing rather of holding to themselves. in Christianity, you do not don't have any memorize any certain prayers. that's tremendous in case you do, yet God ought to quite listen your heart than a memorized prayer. in case you do not count on God, that's not His fault for curiously no longer providing you with info of His life. he's given a lot info; i'll't even comprehend of ways a lot there is. miracles, intricacy of the smallest and greatest of issues, ect. basically because you are able to't see Him would not advise he's no longer there. that's basically what faith is. now, in case you do not count on God, imagine if He did. considering that He created each thing, do not you imagine He'd have a good time with it in case you regarded it and praised Him? heck, positioned your self in His shoes. in case you created each thing and then appeared down onto earth and heard that human beings curse your call, do not count on you, and sweetness why you want be praised in case you actually did exist, you'll really be unhappy about it. God feels a similar way. he's jealous.
