Neither. It just means its raining. The whole idea of rain on the wedding day bringing good luck was started so that people would have something upbeat to tell brides who were upset because it was raining.

It rained on my wedding day, and we've been married happily for 5 years, so I would say it's a good sign. At the time it didn't seem so good because my hair frizzed up as the night went on, and the hem of my dress was trashed, but looking back it was still the most awesome day I could have hoped for.

Over the years i have heard both good and bad, but i think it must be good. The day Mike and i got married it rained like who wouldn't have it, 7" in 2 hours! We have been together for nearly 18 yrs now, and plan on staying that way for the rest of our lives. It also rained on my niece Sherry's wedding and she and her husband have been happily together for about 15 years.
In truth though i doubt that it really matters at all, but it is fun to think about!

They say if it rains on ur wedding day u will have good luck and your marraige will be the best!
it's only bad if u have an outside wedding..lol..

It's a good sign for the plants. It's just rain, people get too hung up over something they can't control, just have a good backup plan for the photos in case it rains.

It's just only rain, nothing else. The problem is how to manage the guests if the wedding day becomes rainy. Specially if you conduct wedding party outside (garden party), wow it could be miserable.

i used to hear chinese believes that it means the couple are stingy but i don't know how true this can be as i've never been superstitious but i believe raining on the wedding day could just cause so much inconvenience not only to the couple especially the bride who has got proper make - up on and it could be ruin by the rain.
