You can either lightly mist them with water when they are by the tree and they will learn not to go there or you can buy certain sprays to spray the trees with that will turn them away this spray is also good for furniture, plants, etc....try a petstore or I used to work for a company called PetEdge that sells wholesale pet supplies...good luck, have had the problem myself. I always lightly spray my cats with water when they are doing or somewhere they shouldn't be, I don't drench them, they just do not like water much.

No tinsel, no breakable embellishes, a minimum of low down, and anchor the tree to the wall or ceiling. And understand, after some years, they are going to forget concerning the tree. And no count if it rather is any convenience, a crawling human toddler can do as plenty harm to a tree and your 'infants' have 4 paws each. Cats love packing containers, and in keeping with possibility leaving the container out will attraction to them to concentration on the container extremely than the tree.

try a spray called boundry. I don't know what it is about that stuff but cats can't stand to be around it. You can also use a squirt bottle on the cat when it gets anywhere near the tree.

I haven't put up my tree yet, but we've had that problem with them ontop of the TV. A spray bottle works well. Now we just ahve to show it to them and they get off. Other than that I don't know what else you're going to do.
