What was the Jesus thing about. Couldn't it just forgive sin without all the bloodshed.

Or was the Jesus thing not really about sin at all and more about giving humanity one last chance to listen?

That is assuming that this "God" fellow exists.

i guess he was returning the sacrifice.

apparantly Abraham loved God and was willing to sacrifice his son to God, so God returned the favour by sacrificing his son for the sake of Abrahams kids.

God does not worship himself. Jesus had to die on the cross because God says in his Word that there can be no remission of sin with the shedding of innocent blood. Animal blood cannot forgive human sin. Man cannot forgive himself. Jesus was the only person innocent enough to fulfill God's requirements. If you have never tried a life in Christ, then please do so. It is a life of forgiveness. This brings great peace.

All speculations concerning "God" are what they are: pure speculation. Human beings were made ("created") in a way to equip them to know very limited areas of life. The concept of Godand what relates to Him is well beyond us. All sepeculations are futile.

The "Bible God" is no exception. And as depicted in the Holy Book, it would seem, He's capable of anything!

we can not do anything for our salvation...and because of God's love He did something that nobody can do or imitate...God's ways are amazing, and we are not in the position to ask Him why, how and what.
