THE Bible counsels: “Seek peace and pursue it.” (1 Pet. 3:11)
(Psalm 34:14) Turn away from what is bad, and do what is good; Seek to find peace, and pursue it.
(James 3:17) But the wisdom from above is first of all chaste, then peaceable, reasonable, ready to obey, full of mercy and good fruits, not making partial distinctions, not hypocritical.
(3 John 11) Beloved one, be an imitator, not of what is bad, but of what is good. He that does good originates with God. He that does bad has not seen God.
(Galations 5:22-23)the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control.

from Matthew chapter 22
One of the pharasees, who was a lawyer, asked Jesus a question to test him: "What is the greatest commandment in the law?"
Jesus said:
"You shall love God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul. That is the first and greatest commandment, the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as you love yourself. From these two commandments hangs all of the law."
That is what Christianity is SUPPOSED to be about. Avoid any so-called-church that doesn't obey Jesus' commandments.

Forgive as Christ has forgiven you. Give yourself. Forgiveness is the core of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Understand this and the Bible will make sense to you.
