Is it just me, or does it seem as if kids/teens are getting (excuse my choice or wording) skankier, sluttier, and whoreish by the second?! I've seen 10 year olds wearing a cakeload of makeup and strutting their undeveloped bodies around in their mini skirts and tube tops. What do you think may have caused this ? (media, etc)

It's not just you, I've seen it too. I blame it on their parents. My wife and I raised two daughters in this society, watching and listening to the same media, and they didn't act like that growing up (although many kids did in their schools), and they don't act that way now that they are grown (youngest will graduate from college in 3 weeks).
The media doesn't help, but the parents can and should (for a while) control what media the children watch.

I think it has a lot to do with their so called role models, Britney & Christina. In my opinion, 10 year olds shouldn't be wearing belly shirts and minis. Shame on the parents who are buying these for their young daughters.

I wonder where their parents are, and if they know where their kids are. When I was a kid, I wanted to be like my Mom-- which wasn't slutty. I wonder if these girls' Moms are very slutty, and that's where the girls get it from. How else would they be able to buy the make up, the slutty clothes, etc? Good for you for staying more natural. At your age, that's the most attractive thing you can do! And you will be more likely to attract people (boys and girls) who like you for who you are. Good Luck!!

Times have changed in the U.S. and it is NOT for the good.. I am ashamed of what is going on and it will be a situation that will tuurn around and bit the U.S. in the rear and it has already started to happen.
