I think people do that. I personally would not. I think that is a selfish act and if someone were to do that, they really didn't care about the person in the first place.
It would be easier to say look this year I cant afford a gift. Or be creative a make a gift or card. Its the thought that counts.
Plus there is no guarantee the person will take back the person that dumped them, someone better may scoop them up.

no, i broke up with them so i didnt have to lie an act like i liked having sex with them. i cant help it the boat came back in right before christmas.

yeah i used to do this all the time.....in high school but then you just gotta over come it. i wasn't a money thing with me, i just alwasy felt i woudln't buy a gift that was good enuf,,,,,,just do gift certificates,,,,they are easy enuf
