I got some cheap DVD movies (“The Notebook” and “Batman Begins”) at $3.98 from Target. Some free after-rebate items and House MD Season 1 for $12.99 at Circuit City. I also bought a light, casual jacket and a dressy top from Macy’s, but they weren’t that good of a deal. Macy’s didn’t even have their extra 10-20% off if paid w/the Macy’s credit card, which sucked! There weren’t as many good deals as I expected there to be, even the mall wasn’t that great. It seemed like the mall stores had their regular sales like they always do, nothing extra special. Despite not finding any great deals, my overall Black Friday was good because I got to go shopping!!

Something to eat I think. I do not shop at all for anything , nor do I even enter a store during this entire time --from around Halloween time to after the first of the new year, I propably will stay completely away, from the mad crowds, shopping malls, most other stores. What I do is very simple --- I buy Christmas cards for certain people --- I put a brand new $100 bill inside for most --less for a few others, and personally go around to hang them on the various Christmas trees, others I mail off. It"s my way -- works well for me -- I don"t put myself through all the stress I see other people under-go at this time of year. It makes for a much more relaxing time -- not having to "brave" the crowds, long lines, little "good" floor help to assist --- also the risk of catching the flu bug is much greater now. I wonder(?) Am I ,and others like me ,causing some of these stores from pulling in as much money as they thought they would ? Hmm-- just a thought. Anyway a Merry Christmas to all,and remember -- cold cash is better to give than gift cards(restrictions & expires).

I got a nice boost in my stock portfolio. Since I purchased nothing and let all those crazies increase their debt so all my retail stocks could make big profits. Thank you! I'm well into the black on Black Friday.

Groceries -- and roses for a friend.
I do most of my gift shopping online. Shorter lines!
