Where can I find Building Codes?

I need to find building codes for either NE Illinois or anywhere in Oregon. Where can I find these?

1st step: find out which codes are applicable. You need to contact the building permit offices in the jurisdictions that you are interested in. Many permit offices have a list of the current set of codes available on their website. I have given a link to Montgomery County Maryland as an example.

2nd step: find a source to purchase the applicable code books.
I use BNI. I have given a link to their website too.
