OH MY GOD NO!

If you do not have a tandoor or similar oven, I suggest broiling, cooking on the bbq grill or as a last resort in the oven at HIGH heat. To bring out the flavor of the spice and to properly "cook in" the flavors, you need the high heat to roast the meat from the outside in. This will NEVER happen in a microwave which really will boil the meat with its own juices from the inside out.

Cooking tandoori style you MUST roast the food at very high heat. Trying to use a microwave is like trying to cook hamburgers or french fries in a microwave. You can re-heat anything in your microwave, but for actually cooking, it is very limited.

(The taste differnce between chicken tikka in a microwave and chicken tikka in the oven would be like the difference between boiled potatoes and french fries.......)

Yes, it is possible, although the one cooked in authentic Indian Tandoor will taste best.
