Well, it depends on what you want. IE7 basically tries to incorporate the features that Firefox, and to a smaller extent, Opera have built. For instance, it now allows you to have tabbed browsing.

Now, whilst IE7 has got the look right, I personally don't like the interface. Firefox allows for more intuitive control. Also, it allows for extensions, which allow you to do far more interesting things than IE will allow for. For instance, if you want to be able to view sites on IE or FF, you can install the IE Tab extension, or if you want to be able to use mouse gestures, you can install an extension to do that. Other useful ones include Foxmarks, which automatically synchronises bookmarks on different computers, or Tab Catalogue, for enhanced tab browsing.

In short, FF is better, as it allows for more flexibility and customisation. Go get it!

I have used both but found that when I installed Firefox, it slows down the speed of Internet Explorer. But however Firefox is great. But IE is needed for some sites.

I run them both and have no issues. I have XP Professional and run IE 6 and Firefox (depending on what I will be online for) Firefox is a much better "browsing" browser as far as I am concerned.

Firefox is good, I have it along with IE and SBC Yahoo browser. I use them at the same time, I can log into yahoo on SBC and check my other acct with Mozilla. There are plenty of add-ons to the Firefox which you can research once you install it. A good friend of mine whose PC IQ is much higher than mine told me about it. Apparently, since it is a DOS application, it is not subject to the many problems Windows has online. Hope this helps!

You can run Firefox with IE still installed, I do.

Some advantages of Firefox are it is generally regarded as more secure than IE, and I like the way you can customise the display and layout. There are many add-ons worth having, too.

Give it a try. It's free, and if you don't like it, you can just uninstall it.

Yes you can run both. Remember to make your default the one you prefer. One issue I've found with Firefox which is my default, is that some websites or subscription sites will respond only to IE. All browsers are good now and tabbed browsing is becoming usual for all making access to sites you have or are visiting easier to switch between.

Yes you can have both installed without problems.

If you want to use Firefox all the time, I suggest deleting the IE links everywhere. IE just gets spyware, adware, and other things equally as bad and annoying very easily. I deleted the links so others using my computer won't use IE.

Firefox is a lot more stable and better security wise. You can have both IE and FF on your PC and run them at the same time.

I prefer FF, much easier.

You can't uninstall IE anyway or you cripple windows ...
Firefox is a far superior browser, it's FASTER, more secure, better functions, and doesn't keep crashing your computer.
You could install several different browsers if you really wanted to.
