In the United Kingdom an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (ASBO, pronounced az-bo) is a civil order made against a person who has been shown to have engaged in conduct which caused or was likely to cause alarm, harassment, or distress to one or more persons not of the same household as him or herself and where an ASBO is seen as necessary to protect relevant persons from further anti-social acts by the Defendant. In England and Wales they are issued by Magistrates' Courts, and in Scotland by the Sheriff Courts. It was introduced by the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.

ASBO means "Anti Social Behaviour Order" its a legal peice of paperwork issued by a court which defines what behaviour is NOT acceptible and what IS acceptble from an individual. Ans where you can & cannot go, ASBO's normally define an area within which the person has to stay all the time, if that boundary is broken then the ASBO is also broken.
**Mostly ASBO's are issued for whats called low level crime or for causing an annoyance to others locally. Such as writting graffiti, being too noisy, getting drunk repeatedly under age (i.e. less than 18yrs).minor damage to property, etc.
**The main problem with ASBO's is policing them, or enforcing them as it wastes so much police time & resources.
**ASBO's have back fired abit recently too, as young people see them increasingly as a badge of honor or a rite of passage. Your not one of the gang without an ASBO.

Anti Social Behaviour Order. It allows chavs to appear on tv and enter competitions and win big prizes. Some of them get shipped off to the Isle of Wight and are allowed to holiday there for a while.
Basically if people annoy people like their neighbours to such an extent that they have to continually ring the police then they will be awarded an asbo and moved to somewhere nice where they can chill until they see someone else they want to wind up and annoy. Apparently it's cheaper than shooting them.

Anti
Social
Behavior
Order
The term is normally used to identify a person who has been in trouble for antisocial behavior and restrictions has been placed on him/her. An ASBO is a social outcast.
Some of the delinquents take it as a proud sign to be called an ASBO but usually because they are young and easily influenced by their like minded peers who too have little outlook on life.

Anti Social Behaviour Order - it is a legal restriction placed upon somebody who has been anti-social. For example a shop lifter might be banned from going to the shopping centre by an ASBO.

ASBO - (pronounced 'azbo') stands for : Anti Social Behaviour Orders.
They are civil orders given to those committing minor offences such as petty theft, harassment, vandalism, abuse behaviour etc. (little known fact: 'tree climbing' is an ASBO)
Asbo is also used to refer to a person, who commits the above offences. (for eg. a petty criminal or thief)

Anti Social Behaviour Order
It is basically a contract. A person signs it agreeing to not do whatever anti-social behaviour they have been doing.
The main debate is what happens when the order is breached? Sometimes nothing! Sometimes prosecution.
Also, some kids think of it as a badge of honour, like they have achieved something.
Hope this helps.
