Your girlfriend shouldnt be so picky, at what you give her. I would love flowers, plants and chocolates! She sounds a bit spoiled.

A romantic evening alone , just the two of you . No fancy resturant order carry out and set it up like you fixed it or go the extra mile and actually cook the dinner. wine, candle light nice music a sensual massage ( of course that can go both ways) .The point is the time spent and thought put into preparing for the evening will be what will mean so much to her. It will show her that you reall do care or else you wouldn't have even bothered.

I don't know your ages or the in's and out's of your relationship. I've always found simplicity that shows feelings works well. One rose and a sweet note. Then a casual dinner,(not real expensive), like an Italian food place or a movie, or both. One idea would be to ask her what she'd like to do or go. Don't forget her family will want time with her.
I feel jewelry is something extravagant and for long term relationships, serious ones.
Take it from someone with lots of experience. I'd rather get one beautiful rose, a beautiful card, and a smile that says how they feel. You know her best. Go with your gut.

first of all make her (your self) a nice basket with some nice flowers and good chocolates (swiss maybe), and let her find inside of it a beauty parlor certificate for manicure, pedicure and hair(you know that she will go to a beauty parlor on her birthday) to use the day of her birthday (make the apointment early in the morning so she can enjoy the hole day beautiful) this gift you can give it to her the night before her birthday under a nice tree saying the most romantic words. we women enjoy getting our self pampered and we love to get our hair, nails etc done. if you get her something spa related she´s gonna have to enjoy it some other day because she needs to spend hor birth-day with friends family and YOU so she wont have time for spa because it takes to much time.
