Personally speaking as a Parent I think you should.
So they can help you with advice on relationship stuff if you need any..
Some mums are good listener and already have plenty of practical advice up there sleeve that may just help you make good choices and not bad ones.
Plus you mum would love to share your first love stories about your ''Boe''.
Also after 3 mths I am surprised they don't already now?
Depending how old you are?
And are there any religious stuff involved that may get your parents disapproval then you should sit down and talk to them and explain to them how much this boy means to you..

I am hoping you are over 16 even 18 be alot better to start having a boyfriend but I do now its not the in thing these days to wait for a good age not the right age??

Oh and I do hope the boy is around your age as well not too old or has any drug,crime,gang history..

From the information you provided, it would seem all you have to do is to tell your parents you like this guy. You then can then get an understanding of how they react. If they say you're too young to have a boyfriend, you will know that providing more detail may just provoke them.

If they seem more supportive than that, they will ask you questions about the boy.
