I just noticed today that I had hardened discharge around my navel (belly-button) area and I dug deeper and found about 10-15 hair strands gooped together with some pus. Now the inside of my belly-botton feels itchy and and there's a light discharge of clear pus. I was wondering if I have to worry or what. I didn't find much info on this on the net. I rely on Yahoo Answers to help me decide. I don't have medical insurance so I'd really appreciate it if you can help on a decision.

your navel is getting infected. try to clean it carefully with cotton bud dipped in hydrogen peroxide just to keep the inside clean and to reduce the odor. you have to see your family doctor to halt
the infection.

well buddy sorry to tell you this but you must go to a dr and get it checked out. it could be anything. from fungus growing to some symptoms of a serious condition. you never know until you get it checked. now everything city has a local health department and a community health facility that will see and treat you for a small fee. theses are places where you aren't required to have some type of insurance. check around in your city for these types of places. see if you can go to your human services department in your city and get some insurance bc that can get really serious and that's not what you want. is that helpful enough?

First clean it out with soap and water, then dip Q-tip in alcohol and pat around it .
