Do you agree that after religious are through with clobbering each other mindlessly to death ....that the only ones to survive would be the ones who choose spirituality over religion?

Could this be the apocalypse?

Probably not.

Considering that each religion has several sects, and that new sects of each religion are being created almost constantly, I figure it is save to assume that people will be killing each other over their belief in the intangible until we as a species cease to exist.

There can be no "winner" because the religion which succeeds in wiping out all the other competition will eventual fragment, and the "true believers" will be forced to wipe each other out to purify the faith.

Humanity is inherently self destructive, and religion is a godless business.

no I dont but i too choose spirituality over religion .there is good found in all faiths. its not the religion thats at fault as much as the fundamental followers of hate and distrust within that religion.we do need to use our own minds and question religious doctrine however and not follow each other like sheep. I believe in taking the good from all faiths and discarding the bad.my devine consciounce helps me do that

nah, the lazy will survive and send their children to fight for them. There are always people who stay behind to guard the faith.
Maybe greed tops religion. religion is just a mask for greed.
My god is everywhere and does not need huge cathedrals. I mean he doesn't even sleep there.

I don't think its the apocalypse...it is more a matter of where we are as a species in our development. Quietly and peacefully there is more and more a movement towards mutual love and understanding. It doesn't make the news, but it is happening. Look around and see. Look inside yourself and see. I think you may see the same.
