I think we cannot take this literally . To me this means the following.
Many of us have some desires. We , normally, donot try to convert all the desires into a will to achieve the desire. Within ourselves we count out as not feasible by us. But , some, we desire more and would be happy if we could achieve to have it fulfilled.
These desires get changed into a will. Even at this stage the difficulties to achieve the will surface .BUT along with the will to achieve the mind thinks of ways to go nearer to the acievement. It is not always that the "way" we choose will get the desires result. But , atleast , it will show is the way to go towards it.
Isn`t this better than just wishing?

I think so. If you have the will to do something, the proper motivation, you will find a way to make it happen.
Impossible things, like sporuting wings and flying under your own power, are, of course, exempted from the discussion. Your goals, whatever they may be, should be possible for a human being to perform.

No, somethings are just not meant to be. For example, many have wanted to sprout wings anf fly like a bird, but this is unrealistic, and will never be, unless God decides to will it.
