I think that you are the one with the low expectations . I think what you want is a one night stand. You said you do not date,
you just wanted to hook up for one night. Maybe the type of women you want is escorts they will go out with you and you decide when they will call you back and all the control stays with you. They never expect more then you can give and every one gets what they want.

You actual question may have nothing to do with the senario. She may just not have been into you or she really may not be interested in anything serious currently. Just like men, women sometimes don't want to have to deal with the issues and time constraints of a relationship.
As to you question about romantic evenings...If a man is willing to put in the time to plan a romantic evening, it says plenty about his personality. For example, but not limited to, not lazy, good organization/planning skills & knows how to keep a lady on her toes.
