My toy poodle has surprised us with puppies twice! Both times she was taken to a vet to see if she was pregnant, they both said no she wasn't. She is a small skinny dog and she didn't show at all. The first time she had 4 pups and the second time she had 2.

Hi many dogs can go without looking fat to full term. They tend to hide the pups high in rib cage.
The only definite signs would be-
*enlarging mamories
*enlarging appetite
*change in character (although not always).
*wanting saccluded space to herself (particularly in last few days)
Good look with whelping

Has she been checked by her vet, and confirmed as pregnant '

I have known a few female dogs, who have remained almost normal ,
until the last week before .whelping time ,

A small litter ,especially , can be well disguised ,

their breasts start, to develop and fill up. in the last 2 weeks .

towards the last week .you should be able to see the babies moving too

So Mom looks her normal self , she may get hungrier though
and sleep more than usual .

I hope you will have a healthy litter soon
good luck

yes some dogs can carry puppies high up so they not look pregnant at all

nope.
There are very obviously signs to a pregnant dog as it prepares for the pups - for example, the teats become swollen and start leaking milk!

I have Saints and you cant tell with them until after.they just look thicker. Fur has a lot to do with it. Plus their shear bulk hides it until lactation.
