rite mate my parents are exactly the same they tried to stop her coming to my 18th and i basically said shes coming so get stuffed and if they dnt like it and say they are going to cancel everything just say that you want you bday to be with her because its important to you and if they dnt like it they are the ones with the problem mate!!!! and they'll regret not being supportive afterwards so you cant lose!

Well it sounds like your in a tough spot! I guess if you have a mutual relationship with this girl then she would understand if you explain your current situation it might be tough but if she loves you then she will try and work something out. If your really brave talk to your parents explian how you feel and tell them that you wish that they would give her a chance and tell them why you feel so strongly on about this girl (no details just facts) Parents can be understanding and then maybe they will let you prove that your girl is a good person if it doesn't work then just keep trying they will obviously have to break down and give in too your request sometime!

She's your girlfriend... So do what you really wanna do.. If you think that you are happy with her so be with her.. It does'n not even matters what your parents feel about her.. It's a question of time.. And just let them know about it.. Good luck!

You need to let them know how you really feel and if they cared that they wouldnt try and make you choose who to spend an important day like that with. If i were you and they didn't care about how you felt after that I would say screw them and spend it with your girl.

Yeah, I'm pretty frustrated, too. I'm sure some of the others who read this, feel the same way.

sounds like your dad and your girlfriend are having an affair. you should confront him... consider *****-slapping him in front of the whole gathering... that would be a birthday to remember allrighty!
