Most dogs will avoid their own excrement, especially rolling in it, however, if your pup was raised in a heavily soiled area before you got it, then it may have never had the opportunity to choose clean over dirty, and now thinks nothing of rolling its own crap.

(rolling in other animals crap is another story... most seem to enjoy that)

Keep your baby CLEAN, avoid letting him stay anywhere near his potty, clean it all up right away. If you don't get a handle on the situation, and dont teach him that his own potty is too be avoided, you may never get him housebroke fully.

Good Luck! And just remember too be vigilant and consistent!

You would think so but nope. It is ususally not theirs they roll in but a mouse or bird. Mine do it all the time and into the tub they go. Some say they do it to mark the area. Whatever their reason they do it..............good luck

its almost like when u give ur dog a bath and once u take it outside it rolls in the grass cus they think that the grass smells good and that the shampoo smells nasty. humans have different sense of smells than dogs. we think that poop smells gross but to them it smells like roses. LOL. i know thats weird.

They don't. Unless they have no choice and are left standing in it.

Try cleaning it up!
