Sura - 6 Livestock ( Al-An'am)
Order Of Revelation 55, Verses: 165

[6:0] In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

[6:1] Praise be to GOD, who created the heavens and the earth, and made the darkness and the light. Yet, those who disbelieve in their Lord continue to deviate.

[6:2] He is the One who created you from mud, then predetermined your life span, a life span that is known only to Him. Yet, you continue to doubt.

[6:3] He is the one GOD in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secrets and your declarations, and He knows everything you earn.

[6:4] No matter what kind of proof comes to them from their Lord, they turn away from it, in aversion.

[6:5] Since they rejected the truth when it came to them, they have incurred the consequences of their heedlessness.

[6:6] Have they not seen how many generations before them we have annihilated? We established them on earth more than we did for you, and we showered them with blessings, generously, and we provided them with flowing streams. We then annihilated them because of their sins, and we substituted another generation in their place.

[6:7] Even if we sent down to them a physical book, written on paper, and they touched it with their hands, those who disbelieved would have said, "This is no more than clever magic."

[6:8] They also said, "If only an angel could come down with him!" Had we sent an angel, the whole matter would have been terminated, and they would no longer be respited.

Requirements of the Test

[6:9] Had we sent an angel, we would have sent him in the form of a man, and we would have kept them just as confused as they are confused now.

[6:10] Messengers before you have been ridiculed. It is those who mocked them who suffered the consequences of their ridiculing.

[6:11] Say, "Roam the earth and note the consequences for the rejectors."

[6:12] Say, "To whom belongs everything in the heavens and the earth?" Say, "To GOD." He has decreed that mercy is His attribute. He will surely summon you all on the Day of Resurrection, which is inevitable. The ones who lose their souls are those who disbelieve.

[6:13] To Him belongs everything that dwells in the night and the day. He is the Hearer, the Knower.

[6:14] Say, "Shall I accept other than GOD as a Lord and Master, when He is the Initiator of the heavens and the earth, and He feeds but is not fed?" Say, "I am commanded to be the most devoted submitter, and, `Do not be an idol worshiper.' "

[6:15] Say, "I fear, if I disobeyed my Lord, the retribution of an awesome day.

[6:16] "Whoever is spared (the retribution), on that day, has attained His mercy. And this is the greatest triumph."

And only those from a very small geographic area as well! Hmmm....... He forgot about women and the Chinese too! not to mention the American Indians! I guess if you only read The Torah the Gospel and the Koran ( all the same god) you would have to think that way. By the way he chose only women to give birth to the Prophets(crafty god indeed!)! You must be so proud being a MAN, Gods chosen, sooo special, yep reach down and feel proud, so very proud!

He didn't. There are women prophets. Three, from the Holy Scriptures are:

Miriam-Prophetess and sister of Moses

Deborah-Prophetess and Judge over Israel

Huldah-Prophetess, adviser to King Josiah, and interpreter of the Book of the Law, that had been lost and was found.

God didn't, man did. The bible was written by man as a sign of the times. At that time no creedence was given to a woman.
It was just assumed that the male word would prevail or be more believable. But many books are coming out today that will explain how one of Jesus' most devout disciple was Mary Magdelene.
Not to mention his Mother, Mary and many others.....

He didnt.
Judges 4:4-"Now Deborah,a prophetess.......was judging Israel at that particular time."
Ex.15:20-21-"And Miriam,the prophetess,Aaron's sister..."
Neh.6:14-"....also Noadiah the prophetess, and the rest of the prophets...."
Luke2:36-"Now there was Anna,a prophetess.."
2Kings22:14-"....went to Huldah,the prophetess....."
There are more but I have only listed some to answer your question.

I like #4's answer. But there is more too it. Yes there was female prophets called Prophetess but they too are different.

According to Revelation 19:10, "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethern that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

This is were women come in, they can have the testimony of Christ they have the spirit of prophecy, thus Mariam and other women were known as Prophetess.

So anyone who has a testimony of Jesus Christ is a prophet. But according to Modern scripture ONLY ONE has all the Keys and authority on the earth at a time. "And verily I say unto you, that the conditions of this law are these: All covenants, contracts, bonds, obligations, oaths, vows, performances, connections, associations, expectations, that are not made and entered into and sealed by the holy Spirit of Promise, of him who is anointed, both as well for time and eternity, and that too most holy, by revelation and commandment through the medium of mine anointed, whom I have appointed on the earth to hold this power (and I have appointed unto my servant Joseph to hold this power in the last days, AND THERE IS NEVER BUT ONE ON THE EARTH AT A TIME ON WHOM THIS POWER AND KEYS OF THIS PRIESTHOOD ARE CONFERRED), are of no efficacy, virtue, or force in and after the resurrection from the dead; for all contracts that are made unto this end have an end when men are dead."

Women were chosen too, only they were called prophetesses.
There was Miriam (Exodus 15:20)
Deborah (Judges 4:4)
Huldah (2Kings 22:14)
Noadiah (Nehemiah 6:14)
Anna (Luke 2:36)

I have no problem with men to be prophet, but
May be because Satan could cheat woman (Eve) first than Adam (men).
