Just a few symptoms.

Bleeding gums, bad breath, red gums (they should be pink) and pain when you brush.

Here are a couple of simple solutions to help the problem.

1. Brush thoroughly with toothpaste and baking soda to get rid of surface junk.

2. Flossing is a MUST to get rid of plaque.

3. Get Hydrogen Peroxide at the drug store.
Mouth wash with it 3 times a day. Hold it in your mouth and let it bubble under the edges of your gums to bubble up any infection that might be in your gums.

4. Get an anti-bacterial mouth wash to kill any
bacteria in your gums.

5. This must be done EVERY DAY DILIGENTLY. Until you notice an improvement in your gums and breath. The bad breath is a strong symptom of gum disease. After about 10 days to 2 weeks if you see no improvement, make an appointment with a dentist for antibiotics.

5. Take a good multi-vitamin with iron to help get your gums more healthy.

I hope this is helpful.

I am no dentist but if they are red and bleeding and you have bad breath that is usually a sign of gum disease..I would go to a dentist to be sure though and make sure you floss and brush everyday

If gums are tender, swollen, red, or bleeding, you may have gum disease such as gingivitis. If it's a minor thing, purchase a bottle of Glyoxide and use as directed. If it doesn't clear it up in a few days, see your dentist.

a person w/ gum disease has red, swollen, bleeding gums. another sign is his teeth may already have movement. healthy teeth don't move. other than that, go to a dentist to check your teeth.
