If you do as the person above and take a 15-20 minute power nap at lunch time it will help, but you can also control some of this with the types of food you eat. If you are eating a heavy lunch with a lot or any animal fat, such as hamburger, pork, or fried foods, your body is automatically put into a sleepy mode. It takes a lot of your bodies energy to digest animal fat, so your body throws most of your energy into digesting it. Try a light lunch such as salad with low fat dressing or a vegetable meddle, steamed vegetables, or even soup of some kind like vegetable or cream of chicken or mushroom soup. Lower your sugar and fat intake should help a great deal. Also taking a 10 or 15 minute walk after lunch helps the digestion begin. The faster the digestion begins the less energy you will loose to it while you are sitting in class. Good luck.

Have to go with the 'you need at least 8 hours of sleep'. Try and stick some studying in at lunch hour.
Give yourself a boost in the afternoon, can you get some fresh air? Fresh air can do wonders, a few deep breaths in front of an open window if you can't get outside for a few minutes will help. Second, you can try drinking fruit juice, I like orange juice. Protein bars, the real ones not the junky sugar ones, can boost your metabolism get your system rolling again. That failing, a bran muffin. See food is good unless it's junk. a fast surgar rush will disipate quickly and make you crash worse. Good food will work like fuel. Try different things, find what works.

8 hours of sleep per day is recommended. In your case,
you have only 6 hours to sleep from 10 pm to 4 am... that is the reason why you are feeling sleepy in the afternoon... you better take a short nap in your free time before attending the afternoon classes.

The body's natural rhythm dips in the afternoon, which is why many cultures have a rest in the afternoon. You either have to force yourself to stay awake or force yourself to change your sleeping and study habits. 6hrs isn't a whole lot of sleep, especially if you're only young. It sounds like you need more sleep! Talk to your doctor, it may be something more than not sleeping enough, but I think that it sounds like a simple case of you not getting enough sleep! No matter how much you have to study, you do need to sleep!

Take 15-20minute power naps at lunch break. That helps loads.
You need to prioritise between sleep time & study time. Theres no point in studying so much if you might get kicked out of school due to the fact that you get less sleep as a result of studies.
