Today's Christianity Not Jesus' Religion*
[5:72] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah himself said, "O Children of Israel, you shall worship GOD; my Lord and your Lord." Anyone who sets up any idol beside GOD, GOD has forbidden Paradise for him, and his destiny is Hell. The wicked have no helpers.
[5:73] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is a third of a trinity. There is no god except the one god. Unless they refrain from saying this, those who disbelieve among them will incur a painful retribution.
[5:74] Would they not repent to GOD, and ask His forgiveness? GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
[5:75] The Messiah, son of Mary, is no more than a messenger like the messengers before him, and his mother was a saint. Both of them used to eat the food. Note how we explain the revelations for them, and note how they still deviate!
[5:76] Say, "Would you worship beside GOD powerless idols who can neither harm you, nor benefit you? GOD is Hearer, Omniscient."

I don't think so. Remember the relationship that God had with Adam and Eve, his creations, besides the universe and all the animals. That relationship was the most important thing to him, he wanted closeness with something he had created in his own image. The angels did not have a soul, a spirit, like him. Then along came, Satan , the most beautiful angel in heaven; The only one who was so jealous of God, his powers, the worship he received from the angels, and from Adam and Eve. So, Satan tempted God's human creatures. But, because God loved them so much, he knew he had to repair the rift that man had made between him and his human beings. He was also very wise that he gave humans self-will; so he sent Jesus to make up for the break between humans and himself, Son of God-Son of Man; to repair what should never have been broken. And a belief in all this is how we who are Christians can face the world. By the way, is Islamic,Jewish or Catholicism pagan? I don't think so!

I do not see pagan in your question, pagans worship, nature, the goddess, perform spells, and think there are many gods and goddesses, have no doubt,a Christian does not do what the bible forbids, and we know there is only ONE GOD.

For purposes of classifications of religions, I can see slipping it in there if for no other reason than the theme of redemption through blood sacrifice/human sacrifice.
