Any of you guys out there know how to make flavored candy crystals or powder? Kinda like those cotton candy sugar crystals only i'm not using them for cotton candy... just to use them as sprinkles. How can you make them in different flavors with corresponding colors too, for example, blue candy powder/crystals for blueberry, red for cherry flavor, yellow for lime. etc. etc. or if it's not possible to totally duplicate the flavor, then at least make them in different colors with a tangy, sweet taste? Help? =)

Some crafts stores... Michael's in the US, for example. Have a candy making section where you can buy flavorings for making lollipops.

You can add a drop of flavoring to sugar, plus food color if it isnt colored and just work the flavor into the sugar. Use a ziploc sandwich bag.

Also, check the grocery store for extracts - vanilla, almond, mint, etc...

As an experiment, you can use vanilla and a drop of yellow food color and see how it turns out the way you like.

Below is a link that shows how dye my sugar for making King Cakes... I would think adding flavors to sugar uses the same method.

Amazon.com has some flavors... see link below.
