I was watching Laghe Raho Munna Bhai, in it the girl wants to marry a boy but his family wont allow it because she is Manglick... I have never heard this word before. I explored on the internet but I couldnt find any info. Can someone please let me know what the meaning of this word is. Thanks!!

Mangal Dosha is an astrological condition that occurs if Mars is in the 1, 4, 7, 8, or 12th house of the lunar chart. This condition is believed by some to be devastating for women.

And it creates problem in married life if the partner is not a manglik.

it is some kinda astrological glich .... it is said that a maglik person can marry another manglik person only. If a manglik marries a non manglik,then the non manglik partner dies or something like that !... its a whole lotta atrological hocus-phocus

its to do with the caste system that they once had in regards to their ancester's professional position which created a status.
this obviously causes tention and narrowmindedness that most moderners dont consider. however in other countries they are a bit behind and feek that this status still applies to the world and society we live in.
