If one discovered there was no God... there would not be any reason to live for the moment our soul which is an integral part of God leaves the body... it would decay and die.
No human being can ever survive in the absence of a soul (aka atman in Hinduism) within the body. Existence of life in the whole of Cosmos in absence of God is ruled out. No soul... no requirement for the body and hence no living being!
We need to understand the essence of life. The soul has manifested the body. It is not vice versa. No body can inherit a soul. It just cannot be. Every soul manifests a body to cleanse itself pure of the dross contained within. This is only possible by doing karma.
It is the ego within every human being that makes one think that it can survive in the absence of God Almighty. Yes, one can survive in the absence of prayers to God. But negating the presence of God altogether means negating the existence of the Cosmos itself. No God... no Cosmos!
As detailed in Bhagavad Gita... the doctrine put forward by Lord Krishna in the battlefield of Mahabharata... it has been made clear that only when God explodes himself... the big bang can occur. This is how God Almighty... the cluster of all purified souls (atmans) gets scattered in the whole of Cosmos.
And thus starts the journey of individual souls to purify themselves and regain their original pristine form. This journey of purification that starts with the soul manifesting the first body form as an amoeba (a single cell formation) ends when the human being finally gains salvation.
One reaches the level of being born a human being after having crossed a life span of 7.3 million manifestations. In the human form alone there are 1.1 million types of manifestations.
This journey from the form of an amoeba to salvation requires a maximum of 96.4 million earthly years and a total of 8.4 million manifestations. A long journey indeed in the life of a soul!
Initially we manifest insect life, then plant life, animal life that finally evolves into human form. And to think that this human form can survive on its own in absence of a soul is what we call as ego. The complete story of the system of God here- http://www.vijaykumar.com/system_of_god.html

That depends on how one thinks of a god/deity I suppose. I would live the same as I do now because I view God(SWT) as an actual force/being rather than a vague, mystical 'person'.
To me, God(SWT) is the 'glue' that holds the universe together, in all dimensions and planes of existence. We just don't see because our 3D eyes can't process it, and our minds barely can...but it's easy for most people to understand some giant guy in the sky waiting to pound people for whatever wrongdoings. So that's how most people view God(SWT).
I already know the latter doesn't exist except in the sort of way that fire exists. Fire isn't an object. It is energy that is feeding off of objects. So the idea most people have of a god is psychological energy that feeds off the mind. I know, as a scientific fact, that the universe is bigger than my brain. So whatever I can think of that God(SWT) might be that limits It to anything in only 3 dimensions, especially to human motivations, has got to be wrong.
The attempt to comprehend it is futile, so it's probably best to go with what evidence we have. If you don't have enough evidence, then maybe it's because nothing that defied natural laws has ever happenned to you. So you don't have evidence that whatever God(SWT) is, has a will.
Those who do have evidence, and are not pretending, live accordingly. Those who are pretending are overly religious. Those who don't have enough evidence live according to that too.

I'd live in the same way as I have done so far. I'd base my actions on my personal sense of right and wrong and my morals.

I'm not going to find out that there is no God, because God exists.
But I'll answer your question anyway. I will still follow the same... let's call them "guide lines" that I used to follow. I will always try to love and be kind to others, because without that the world will be chaos (more than it is now).

Because I have been taught what is right and wrong by others
who are more experienced than me in life matters, I would try to
advise and teach others to be the same.
As any responsible person would.

Umm........logic and the golden rule. I don't need god and hell to threaten me to live my life in a way that is courteous and respectful to others. And the sad thing is you think I need to be saved. If it makes you feel better about yourself to pity me, then go ahead. I take no offense.

Common sense, intuition, moral codes, laws of conduct....we'd get by. If one cannot act like a civilised person without supernatural hands directing ones every move, one is a failure as a human being.
