it is impossible to learn any genuine martial art from video, d.v.d or book.surely when the weather is realy bad or in the evenings there is time to attend a class with a good quality instructor. Either Wu Shu for flexibility or any style of Tai Chi would benfit you.

Tai Chi. It's a softer style and seems easier to learn by DVD than others.

Generally it's hard to learn by book, CD or DVD though as you'll not notice the little mistakes in position that makes things flow better.

I agree with Tai Chi, or any of the 'softer' martial arts. A lot of Tai Chi is about balance, circles, and grace, many of the same things you need for golf.

With golf? I would pick Tai Chi for that.
