when the government talk about flag ship policies what do they mean ?

I suppose you could say that it one of the main policies that have been agreed upon by MPs. Policies such as Free Care for the Elderly is a flagship policy for the Scottish Parliament.
The main policies always seem to be about tackling unemployment, heath and education, especially near election time.

They're trying to blag sh it policies.

Basically they're trying to pull the wool over your eyes because eventually those flag ship policies will be replaced with newer, better, improved flag ship policies, equally crap as the original ones!
