No, The problem is when we went in the last thing on anyone's mind was religion and the divisions of religion. The country has at long last been free. Now you have your different religious groups fighting for power.
If there is a way to figure out how to overcome the religious to every ones satisfaction then you would see 99% of the problems disappear. However look a Israel and Palestine still fighting after how long? Those are two different religions. Not the same sector.
On the other, hand how long did the Irish catholic and the protestants fight?

The problem in Iraq is the same problem we experienced in Vietnam. The liberal leftist extremists prohibit our troops from doing the job, winning the war, and coming home. Until we untie the hands of the troops, only problems will result.

As for Bryan's answer it's nice that he overlooks the reason thing as so screwed up is the conservative administration has totally screwed up the military win to turn that in to the worst cluster F... around.

no its more...these people are on the brink of a civil war. If Saddam were back in power, I believe the world might be a better place...for the sake of comparisons, he kept the middle east in check no matter how we look at it.
