is it better to be burnt alive or frozen alive?

If you are really set on finding out. I would suggest you go for burning. This is due to the fact that it is rarely the actual burning that kills you, but the breathing in of smoke and fumes which kills you long before you roast. Interestingly enough, it was common in days when heretics were burned alive for them to have a small barrel of gunpowder tied round their neck which blew up and finished them off before the smoke/flames did.

Freezing alive will take far, far, longer, until hypothermia sets in and sends you unconscious. Depends to some extent, of course, where you intend to get frozen and what you are wearing - in the butchers cabinet, or naked in the Antarctic, for example

Hypothermia is very peaceful. Being on fire is the opposite, very exciting and unpleasant. You're not going to fall asleep and die peacefully if you're on fire.

Other than that, I suppose it's a matter of personal preference.

Some people like to go out with a bang, or douse themselves in gasoline and run down a crowded street while they burn, or just sit while they go up in flames, as a dramtic protest of something.

If you're burnt, you're dead. If you're frozen, well then maybe someday there's a slight chance of being brough back to life. Some frogs can survive "hibernating" of a sort, through freezing temperatures through a whole winter. I think I read once about a dog that was frozen and then brought back to life, though only for a few minutes before it died again, permanently.

I would definitely go with being frozen alive as its far more better, very little pain and your body would be preserved. Plus I really like the cold, so being frozen alive is my best option.

I dont know whether there would be much of a difference but I think fire would be worse. I used to work on a burn unit and its hell. Most people who freeze to death are unconscious long before frozen. There body just slow down and stops as freezing occurs. Now if youre talking about a fast freeze like with liquid nitorgen thats a whole different thing and I think would be a bit painful.

Being frozen alive no longer purely sounds much less painful even though it particularly is been suggested that human beings certainly have been saved alive by being frozen the place as there is not any such factor as being burnt alive. you would be cremated if burnt no longer be saved alive.

of the two...frozen. As the body succombs to the effects of cold you lose feeling and thus will not suffer the pain and will eventually pass out long before death occurs.

Fire is far FAR more painful and the suffering before unconscious is far worse than that of the cold.

Frozen alive becuase your heart slowly stops and you are to weak to fight back. In fire you would be struggling the entire way.

If I HAD to choose, I'd go with being frozen alive. I'd rather have my body shut down, and I'd lose consciousness before then anyway, rather than suffer such extreme pain. I fear pain more than I fear death itself.

Given the rather gruesome nature of this question; I would think that freezing would be the least painful; but burning would be the quickest death.

Take your pick. Long time but less pain or quick death and more pain.
