1. Stop being obnoxious about being christian(it seems to be a general trait and it puts people off)
2. Start showing some of that tolerance and turn the other cheek stuff that Jesus talked about.
3. I don't see ANY difference between rabid christians and rabid muslims. Both sides pushing for their particular version of the "end of the world".

You should not be so over zealous and learn to listen to the spirit inside you as to particular needs of others. The Holy Spirit convicts and begin with a strong personal prayer life and let the spirit guide and move you. Personalities vary in all people but most are basically in four groups. The hungriest stomach cries out the loudest, perhaps your answer lies there. Just like a salesman you need to know your product and presentation. Stick with verse that fits you best. People relate to other people that are similar. Jesus never taught in his own home town, there was a reason.

Certainly, now and then. All of us Christians or Catholics are to be part of God's operation to help to reach out his children, for eg. I may not be the one who will convince Tommy (just an illustration), but over the years, coupled with many people who pray for his salvation, and being low and tired with life, Tommy might just reach out to seek God's help and when u come in to his life at this point of time, u may be the one who accompanied him towards his baptism. Remember my dear, God is the one who will bring his plan to fulfilment := )

You can only offer the truth. Christianity can not be forced. It is up to the person to accept. Know that the Holy Spirit has touched their heart it is then up to them to decide. Sometimes it happens quickly with others it's a salow process.

We are to be motivated by love, speak the truth in love, and turn the other cheek if slapped. We are to be led by God, moved by God. We are to pray for the lost, shed tears for the lost, speak with compassion and kindness.

We are to be not discouraged if people do not listen but continue to pray for them and, as we are led, to continue to try to share the love of God with them.

Jesus is the one who saves, Jesus is the one who seeks the lost, Jesus is the one who does it. We are to simply do His bidding.

We are not to be "persecuted" because of our rudeness, dumbness, or insensitivity. We are to be persecuted because we have a crazy love for Jesus and a intense longing for Jesus to gain the kingdom He deserves.

god bless!!

oops! i didn't think yahoo answers would openly get into the persecution game.
friend we are called to be witnesses to salvation but not do the saving ourselves, only God saves! if they don't listen don't cease praying for them but do move on.

Congratulations on having your faith which I hope will give you strength, but please do not seek or try to save me. Just accept that I have my beliefs & give me the same respect I give to you. Just remember we have diametrically opposed views and one of us is going to be wrong in the end. I hope for your sake it is me.

Good for you sister! If you've talked to someone about Jesus and they haven't listened, all you can do now is pray for them and pray that the Holy Spirit will convict them.
