Have ever taken prozac?
I'm taking it 60mg everyday morning,
and think it has been helping me.
Did prozac help you?
I read it has some big side effects,
my case, forunately, i don't have any so far.

My mom takes it , and has for years. She got off of it for a while because it was hard for her to pay for it, and I offered to pay for her because I couldn't stand to be around her without it. I think ALOT of people in my fam. take antidepressants.

I took Prozac for about 2 years. I was on 40 mgs in the morning, 20 mgs in the afternoon. Personally for me it didn't work very well and I gave up... Sometimes it's not the right anti-depressant for someone, the only way to find out is to stick with it and tell your doctor of any possible side effects you are having, contact him IMMEDIATELY if you are contemplating suicide. Unfortunately, Prozac has a high amount of patients that are contemplating suicide, attempted it, or accomplished it. This is from my own research. I really didn't have any side effects, but then again, my body is different from yours. If you were just started on it, give it a minimum of 3 months. If you or any of your friends and family members don't see a change, contact your doctor.

Good Luck!

I took prozac for more than 6 years and it saved my life. It is a very safe drug and all drugs have side effects. The benefits from this drug outweigh its side effects. Do not worry about side effects now. All those side effects are reversible after you stop the drug. Do as what your doctor says. I can give you a long list of side effects here. You will get a lot of answers like do not use prozac and it is the worst drug etc....

Proper diet and exercise will help you manage weight gain caused by prozac. You may feel decreased libido or some sexual dysfunction after long term use but it can be managed by adding Bupropion XL or Cyproheptadine.

Prozac helps neurogensis in brain and it protects you from psychological stress.
