terrorists

2006-11-26 21:59:18 · answer #1 · answered by david UK 2 · 2 3

Why should anyone have a stereotypical view of me??
all this talk of terrorists....................do many of you actually understand that it was the US that funded afganistan and Bin Ladin to fight against russia...........it was US that trained most of the Taleban. Muslims have been made the scapegoat for a lot of the problems that the west is suffereing from these days...........it used to be the IRA. what does that show you........a pin drops and it was a Muslims fault...........how can people be narrow minded???
Dont believe the hype...........the media is a very dangerous and persuasive medium.........even i have a hard time believing some of the things they come up with. 9/11?? US government set up.........if you have the time and really want the truth you can find it on the net.........7/7? if those boys were being monitored why werent they stopped as soon as MI5 realised they were a danger to society? You can copy and paste all sorts of statements from officials.............but if they have the power to stop these events...........why arnt they? Its all government scare mongoring.
Its not stereotyping that you are doing............its judging...........and no one has the right to judge the next person no matter what religion they are.

They often hate the West, they often hate democracy, they are when brought up by muslims unlearned in everything but the koran and sunnah, they are therefore a threat to advanced civilisation, they often refuse to be friendly and sociable with non-muslims, they have double standards, they still believe in the supernatural even after all this time, but at least they don't drink too much alcohol. They're making a mistake to mess for when the oil runs out their power will be zero (unless they dramatically change their socio-economic ways), and then they'll be begging for mercy and apologising, and blaming the "evil extremists" whom they didn't support at all. Only then will we see the "moderate" (in fact duplicitous) leaders emerge, but it will be too late, far too late...the WORLD will have learned it's lesson (again)
One must remember that there are however exceptions to the rule, and some, a small number, of Muslims who are genuinely moral and intelligent people. I should know as I often chat to them online. On the one hand are the political subverts and medievalist fundamentalists, and on the other the moderates and comparative freethinkers but the other hand contains fewer souls by far.

Whatever it is, DON'T have stereotypical views of anyone. There are a billion Muslims in the world, what on earth is there that you can say is consistent about all of them? Would you like it if someone included you in their stereotype of Christians, atheists, Buddhists or, for that matter, Muslims?

djs820, thanks for taking such a broad view of the world. 7/7 was the date in 2005 when four suicidal Islamist fanatics detonated bombs on the London underground, killing 52 people and injuring over 80. You perhaps didn't notice because Britain has quite a history of bombs going off so we hardly notice them themselves. It was always heartening to know that when bombs were left here by Irish terrorists, the money to fund them had often been collected from bars in Brooklyn.

You are forgetting the 3/11 in Madrid, and many other terrorists attacks in the rest of world.

My opinion on Muslims have not been changed by these events.
But my opinion on terrorists Muslims is the same as my opinion for all other kind of terrorists, whether Muslims or otherwise.

They should all be sent to some deserted island and kept there so that they could kill each other until they would all disappear.

You told it with your own mouth "stereotypical view of a Muslim"... so why are you curious about hearing the same things?? People cant see the secret hand behind this conspiracy theory about Muslims! They dont wanna accept Mossad crimes and their camouflage with using Muslims.

I don't have a stereotypical view, muslims are individuals just like christans, There are good and bad people of both faiths.

I do disagree with 'ordinary' muslims keeping quiet about 'extremists' they know of, and with 'british' muslims going overseas to fight AGAINST our army.

I do not do generalizations. Then I would be forced to stereotype Germans on what I heard about Hitler, Jews by what I hear about them being money mongers, Christians for being bible thumpers, blacks for liking chicken, etc. No one likes to be pigeon holed into a box they do not belong in. We must look beyond what is hyped up by media and deal with everyone on a one to one basis, looking for the truth in each individual's character if we are to grow in our tolerance of one another.

My view of the typical Muslim is slightly worse, but it wasn't that good before,I've seen enough of them and dealt with enough of them to know, not think like a bunch of little "lets tolerate everyone" retards running around,to know that they are just crass and vile. It is the worst of what religion has to offer the world, and that's saying alot since religion hasn't done much good for us anywhere.

they are being made a scapegoat for intolerance, the same as the irish. just because a few do wrong the whole lot are tarred with the same brush. getting taken of a plane for being muslim, being shot dead for being mistaken for a suspected terrorist. camp x-ray the list goes on. i know how it feels to be singled out because my accent or name was different. any non british born islamic cleric who preaches war on the west and promotes terrorism especially on the country they live in should be deported. but one bad deed does'nt make a whole country or religion guilty by association.

7th July - London Bombings. Lets hope you aren't a Brit to have forgotten that.

My problem isn't with Muslims, its with people who are religious I don't understand their need to have faith in such a way, but as long as they are normal people its fine. Its only a problem when religious people become fundamentalists and then it doesn't matter which religion they follow they can all be very dangerous, and not just to their "enemies".
