I believe it totally. The Bible tells us it was a whale.

Jonah 1:17 = "Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights."

Jonah 2:1 = "Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly..."

Matt.12:40 = "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

Jonah 1:17:
7 Now the LORD provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

It was a big fish. I don't know who said it was a whale. The important thing about this story is that it's a foreshadowing of Christ's three days in the tomb and resurrection.

Obviously, I believe it.

Hi,

Yes, I believe it; why not? Does the Bible says it was a whale? As long as I know, no. The Bible says it was a large fish. We don't have too many large fishes. It could have been a whale, or one of those shark-whales or I don't know how you call them (they're sharks but as big as whales; they're vegetarians and have a huge mouth! They're really big fishes!). Who knows, God could have created a special fish for Jonah. My father always told me that when I was a child, that God can do anything.

Well, take care, man; God bless you!

I believe the story of Jonah. Someone who does not believe the word of God or else they did not know the difference between a mammal and a fish.

Of course! Everything in the Bible is true, and in the Bible it says it was a big fish/whale.

Yes I do!! It was not a whale, it was a large fish. It could have been a whale since we don't have a larger fish.
