I think the world is too religious and not Christian enough. I don't care that much for religion I care about worship (of God) and I don't care to be politically correct.

Christians need to stand on the truth. Their is one true God and Jesus Christ is his Son and our only hope. All other religions are just that only a religion and without hope.

The only group not tolorated today are Christians because we are thought to be in-tolarant, I wish that was more true. Why should we tolirate lies and deciet, why should we listen to opinions that are wrong. If you know the truth don't listen to or allow lies to be promoted around you.

I hope in the end you will stand with the one true God and not lie with those that would decieve you.

Compared with previous ages, yes.

a lot of the other people who answered are confusing sectarianism and fanaticism with religion. Religion is the process of knowing and loving God. Sectariansim and fanaticsim is where the bigotry and fighting and control comes in Religion is about real freedom and love.

The Universes time is divided into four yugas and it the first, i think its 'satya yuga' people were quite religious. very in fact. as tiem moves on and we are not in the fourth yuga (Kali) people are far more materialistic but not completely. there are still some people who know the truth, or who are sincerely seeking the truth. Because people in this age are quite simple in intelligence (actually we are - all our scientific development has made it so that we can't drink the water or breathe the air in most places on earth) there is a very simple method for religion. Chant Gods names! Any names of God are fine! Allah! Krishna! Jehovah! Its like a magics carpet to the spiritual world! All is not lost!

Hardly, open your eyes man. The mere presence of Athiests and people critical of organised religion does not equate to the world being 'irreligious'.

Look no further than many of the people who post in this section.

The world has been and always will be fundamental religious. It takes different forms as the world turns... but it is always away from the true and living God of the bible. People worship their families, their jobs, their things, their money..... 50,000 people on a sunday afternoon cheering like crazy and shouting and dancing and crying and hugging just because some guy took a piece of inflated leather over an imaginary line..... Religion takes many forms....

No. It has not, unfortunatly. Although in some countries the intensity of religiousity has decreased somewhat it is still very widespread. Furthermore it seems to be on the increase.
I don't know why this is happening, for instance, even people who are on the surface non religious - seem to be increasing in their suspicion of science, taking instead superstisious and spiritualistic explinations (if not those of accepted organised religion). Fundamentalism in all three abrahamic religions seems to be on the rise, the government in my country has allowed the teaching of creationism in some schools, honestly it scares me.

I wish this were the case, but religion is still going strong. There has been decline since the time of the Old Testament though. Back then your only option was religion. We didn't have enough technology to uncover knowledge about our world, so we attributed it all to magic.

It is going that way..
Myself I think life was better when I was a girl, we went to Sunday school, had values.
Also people lived in their own country's and practised their own religions. No offence meant to anyone.
It all seemed much easier in those days.
Although I do accept religion has caused lots of problems i believe we would all benefit for having a faith.
