No, it is OK to drive barefoot in the UK and in the US. I've been doing it for years.
It is definately safer than wearing flip-flops or heals.
When I was at college, a girl had asked her instructor if it was OK to be barefoot for her driving lessons. He also said yes !

no, it's not illegal. Come on people, think about it. The police have better things to do than ticket people for driving barefoot!

i've heard a myth about this in the US, but i think it's ok in the UK as well what harm could come of it,,indecent exposure!!!c'mon let's get real!!!!
