be loved

I think both are equally as important.

To love someone, you really need to give your love more than you expect to receive from that party and the effort to provide is also greater. Thus, sometimes you'll feel rather tired of getting in such of relationship and because of this and your partner may tend to take for granted and be very self-centred.

But to be loved by someone, is exactly the opposite. You receive love more than you give and effort given is also lesser. Thus, you'll feel sweeter and take things for granted in such a relationship.

However, if you love somebody and at the same time, you're being loved by someone, that's the best of the both worlds! That's really great for both parties because it is a 2-way directional relation and in turn, providing a long term relationship for the couple. So a couple must learn to give and take in order to keep the fire burning and have a good relation.

I would like both, but being that this question only allows for one answer,
I'd rather love... I feel better when I make others feel good...

Hey! What do you know? That's exactly my situation right now...
Loving, but not being loved...
Life sucks sometimes.

The ideal situation is to both give and receive love but since this is no ideal world being loved is better, because you end up with less heartache if things do not work out...

I think both!! but unfortunatelly it is difficult to get that in a relationship for some reason it seems that one loves more than the other.

And it really hurts when you love someone and that someone doesnt love you back! .. therefore I would like to be loved that way I dont get hurt!

I would rather love than be loved... Loving someone is already a gift in itself.

Doing the most of the loving can set yourself up for heartbraking situations. So I think it is better that the other person love you more than you love him/her.....But to allow yourself to be loved you HAVE TO love yourself first.-- One creates the other....The lovER is like the sun working hard to send out its" warm rays. While the lovEE stands there and absorbs the warm rays.

I'd rather love, I'd rather give those closest to me, the one thing that I know I can give with out reason, and that is my undying loyalty and love.

I'd liked to be loved, just to know how it feels. I'm always the one who loves. I want to know what it feels like when it's the other way around.
