Because we have all broken his laws whether we have lied, stolen, hated somebody etc. Knowing God does not let sinners in Heaven do you think you are going to go to Heaven or Hell? Don't say that there is not Hell or Heaven that is boring to hear. If there is a Heaven or Hell (I am only saying that for you sake) where do you think you will go?

Some of the best christians are the sinners who have realised their errors and using them to learn and help others. Its the same question that can never be answered "If you are good and do one bad thing - where do you go and if your are bad all your life and do one outstanding good thing where do go - heaven or hell" the answer is that life and after life is just not that simple.

And because life is so complicated and there are so many needs outthere its hard to sit in judgement of people or even yoursellf. The short answer is - people's lives are so complicated its hard to realy work out whether we will go to hell or heaven or a combo and brings me back to that question. Because hell and heaven is not that simple "you good you go to heaven and you bad you go to hell - its just not that simple. THe long answer lies in another long debate if Heaven and Hell is too simple for a complicated world then maybe there are other inbetween places - not pergatory thats too easy.

My personal view is I dont want to go where everyone is perfect and I dont want to go to a place where everyone is evil - so maybe I am here already?

Ok, I'm up for this - although I had to look up the commandments...

1. No god but me. - CofE - is that ok??
2. Idol - Nope, I mean I'm a fan of the X-box, but I guess I certainly dont worship it.
3. Misuse the name of the Lord - seriously I don't use 'God' 'Jesus' etc as an expletive - even in emails...
4. Keep the sabbath day holy - Weeeeeelll - I'm not a practicing CofE chap. I do go shopping. Hmm....
5. Respect mum and dad. Yep (phew pulled myself back up there).
6. Not kill. Nope all good there.
7. Adultery. Nope - so far so good!
8. Not steal. Nope (blimey I'm on a roll).
9. False evidence. Nope (come on number 10).
10. Not be evious of your neighbour. Nope!

Get in there. Appart from a ropey number 4, its all good!

Fingers crossed...!

PS - just went an checked out the 7 deadly sins... bit more ropey on those...

"If there is a God who will damn his children forever, I would rather go to hell than to go to heaven and keep the society of such an infamous tyrant. I make my choice now. I despise that doctrine. It has covered the cheeks of this world with tears. It has polluted the hearts of children, and poisoned the imaginations of men. It has been a constant pain, a perpetual terror to every good man and woman and child. It has filled the good with horror and with fear; but it has had no effect upon the infamous and base. It has wrung the hearts of the tender, it has furrowed the cheeks of the good. This doctrine never should be preached again. What right have you, sir, Mr. clergyman, you, minister of the gospel to stand at the portals of the tomb, at the vestibule of eternity, and fill the future with horror and with fear? I do not believe this doctrine, neither do you. If you did, you could not sleep one moment. Any man who believes it, and has within his breast a decent, throbbing heart, will go insane. A man who believes that doctrine and does not go insane has the heart of a snake and the conscience of a hyena." [Robert G. Ingersoll, "The Liberty of Man, Woman and Child", 1877]

If you have God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit/Ghost in your heart, then you can not break the Commandments/Law of God, so on judgment day you would be found Innocent, because of the blood of Christ which covered you sins before you became a Saint. Rev 12:14; 14:17.

I think I've broken every comandment except the one about killing, and I guaruntee 80% of the world has also. If things are the way Christians believe they are, then I'd go straight to Hell if I were judged right now...as would 80% of the world.

There are no contradictions in basic terms lack of information. The newly ineffective ( those death formerly the final judgement) would be judged as we talk, then there will be the final judgement the place each and all the ineffective that went to heaven would be resurrected to the hot international alongside with the residing that make it to heaven. those that went to hell will stay there and those residing which do not make it to the hot international will bypass to hell.

You could not even get by the first commandment:

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

God must be first, in everything. If you wake up in the morning and forget God, you broke the first commandemnt. You make a choice without asking God first, again broke the first commandement.
If you or anyone comes before God, guess what? Broken first commandemnent.

Has a commercial on TV or radio inticed you to buy something, without God broken law.

Never mind the last nine it is impossible to get by the first.

Paul wrote that NO ONE does GOOD, not anyone.
but now and then people are raised up that can ahieve perfection and faith which will not be judged guilty.
by the blood of the lamb we are cleansed
by out testimony we should OVERCOME the Beast
If we are clean and dont bow down to false gods we will do well enough to be called blameless.
actually the Ten Commandments are easy to complete.
its the other 200 commandments that people stumble on and especially the ONEs they dont know about

Ooh, not sure if I know them all... let's see..

Honouring thy parents..... well my mum yeah, my dad's an adultering weido who makes no effort to contact me and I've pretty much given up trying to contact him .... that's his bag, right?

Having no other God but Him and not worshipping false idols... well I don't believe in any Gods/ worhip anything (unless you count supporting a football team) so yes and no...

Keeping the Sabbath holy.... can't say that I do (unless you count supporting a football team playing on super soccer sunday on sky sports)

Not stealing... well I knicked sweets when I was a kid, but not since I've been an adult... check....

Not killing.... do I get extra points for being vegan?

Not covetting my neighbour's a55... believe me, nobody would covet my neighbour's a55... Same for the neighbour's wife and her a55. I have ugly neighbours.

No adultery - that's one isn't it? Yep, okay there....

Lords name in vain... er no God damned comment....er.. sorry?

Bearing false witness ... is that just lying, or pretending to be God, because there's a different answer for each.... I try not to lie - except when I want to spare somebody's feelings (and I don't do that very often)

Reckon I'm doing okay for a blaspheming unbeliever.
