I saw the announcement by Yahoo Answers staff that this question will get the Asker's account deleted. But, in fact, the Asker's question is a good one from the point of view of traditional Christianity, which I grew up with.
The quote seems to be accurate, however from a version of the Bible other than the King James. Here's what the KJV says:
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Homosexuals are discreetly referred to as "effeminate... abusers of themselves with mankind." That is, indeed a reference to homosexuals. If it were a reference to masturbators, it would not have included the words "with mankind." The KJV was written in a period in which people were quite squeamish about such things and tended to be indirect in their descriptions.
The Greek words used in that passage are malakoi, which is translated as effeminate and refers to the passive male in a homosexual relationship, and arsenokoitai, which refers to the active partner. They occur in tandem in the text because they were originally part of the same thought regarding homosexuality as sin.
undir, the Asker did not throw a stone at a homosexual. He quoted a part of the Bible that says that homosexuals will not inherit the Kingdom of God. The Asker isn't harming homosexuals; he's pointing out that, according to traditional Christian beliefs, God will put their souls in the place where souls go when they do not go to Heaven.
Why does the Bible condemn homosexuality? Well, for one thing it spreads disease. Feces are loaded with germs even before they reach the open air, and the details of homosexual behavior are conducive to the transmission of the diseases which those germs cause. In fact, homosexuality causes a lot of diseases that would not be sexually transmitted otherwise to become STD's. Since some men "who abuse themselves with mankind" also have sex with women, bisexual gays introduce those germs to the general population. Their female partners, in turn, have sex with other men, who catch the diseases and spread them to other women, etc.
And, as another answerer pointed out, it does not produce children, which are valuable.

Because it is not the truth. It is an opinion based on an old religion made up by ignorant men and adjusted throughout history to suit the desires/needs of the church and its leaders. Scientific research is more reliable to tell the truth and so far it's leaning in a very different direction than the Bible.
If you want to insist that the earth is flat and that the sun evolves around the earth and that homosexuality is a choice, go ahead, but stop trying to dictate other people's lives based on your ignorance and religious beliefs. Homosexuals aren't harming anyone by loving each other and doesn't your religion teach you "the one who is without sin, cast the first stone"? Why do you people keep bugging homosexuals?

Hate to burst you bubble...but the word homosexual does hot appear in the text...the exact quote...I am looking at it right now...is this:

The term effeminite as was used at the time...simply referred to men taking on roles that were traditionally ascribed to women, not in any sexual sense...
As to the phrasing "abusers of themselves with mankind...that is, historically a reference to auto-erotic practice...
The words homosexual, and sodomite do not appear anywhere in the text...
And the debate is still going on as to whether homosexual activity is referred to in that text...
Regarding the "truth"...such things are subjective...if they weren't there wouldn't even be a debate over the issue; the issue wouldn't even exist at all...

Because it's only wrong from your point of view.
From everyone else's, it's not.
You are the folks with the homophobic attitude, quoting from a book only you believe in, in order to justify your viewpoint.
If people don't believe that the Bible is the word of God, then you have nothing to use to show your point of view is correct.
Why don't you put the Bible aside, then try and come up with a reason that doesn't include a Bible verse. If it's possible to justify the idea that "Homosexuality" is wrong, without quoting the Bible, I will be impressed. I doubt it's possible. I mean, You do realize that you sound like a Nazi tract, with the word Jew crossed out and the word Gay written in...
Incredible what the Preacher-men will do to keep the rubes sending in their money.

Your question being loaded aside, I would submit that not all people believe the teachings of the bible to be relevant to todays world. Would you be inclined to accept that a god who made his last appearance two thousand years ago says your very existence is an abomination?
Frankly, I agree with your assertion that the bible says homosexuality is wrong; I've read it, I'm gay myself, and I don't believe in carving up the bible to make obscure references to prove my points when it says so several times. But it also says that wearing a cloth made of two different fibers is wrong in leviticus; it also says eating pork is an abomination. Which leads me to believe these laws were set in motion by men who made the laws for sociological reasons. Eating pork untreated could get you sick. Having sex with a male, however pleasurable it would be, wouldnt increase the birthrate.
Six billion people and refrigeration later, we don't need a birthrate, and I like my bacon. Don't ask me about the cloth thing; that was too weird even for me to piece together.

I have always wondered why people who say they are Christians don't practice what they preach they are the first to say God will judge us well he will judge them as well and I think you will find prejudice is the greatest sin of all God created all people.He also said Blessed are the Meek for they shall inherit the earth so every one of you who supported the war and George Bush most were Christians so they will be in hell with the rest of us.

They get angry because this intolerant belief is not the truth, nor does being a homosexual make you a bad person. Just because you read it in some book, does not make it true.

mybe because the christians are still living the dark ages and not the 21centry it is there out dated ideaers that put people off the christians thats why people are leaving the churches in the millions or never join in the first place

It's pretty wild. The concept of original sin isn't a popular one. Everyone's a "good person". too bad it isn't going to be enough, if there's one thing the Bible is clear on, it's that.
