I have 3 indoor cats and I have noticed that they sleep a lot more during the winter, whether it is day or night and especially when its colder out or the house is cold.

yes my cat sleeps more in winter. She spends more time inside with us, and she is always lovely and fluffy during the winter. In the summer she is all straggely and doesn't like the heat much. I live in Australia and it's hot here right now.

My two cats seem to be awake when I sleep, and asleep whem I am awake. Sleeping more, I doubt it. They sleep too much in my opinion anyways... If you over feed them, they'll sleep more. I dont have an automatic feeder for that reason. A happy and content cat will do what ever it wants... they rule our world... you did know that right?.... I had only one cat for 9 months. He constatnly slept, and meowed. I got another one, and they allow me to live in their little world, they are constantly about playing, sleeping at which ever hour of the day they feel like it. I wonder why they dont have sleep patterns?

Yes, my cat sleeps more in winter. I'd think he's been sleeping all day, but I do see that he has eaten the food in his dish.

My cat sleeps more in the winter. He seems to stay in the house more so being comfy curled up on the couch sends him into sleepy land.

We haven't noticed any changes in their sleeping patterns. They are still quite active in the morning and in the evening.
