There are some cakes you can make in a frying pan, there are also some cobblers you make on the stovetop. I don't know any recipes off hand but you can google them.
You could also make a pancake cake. Get a big frying pan or griddle and make several big pancakes using what ever batter recipe you usually use, just add a little extra liquid so the pancakes come out thinner. Now just fill them and frost them like a cake.

A dutch oven works well . it's a cast iron pot with a lid that you set upon SOME coals and place a few on top hot . you may have to practice with one a few times to get it just right but they do work well in fact sometimes better results than a regular oven. nowadays many think of using them as in camping. find some old Boyscout ,Girlscout or Royal Ambasidors hand books .

Hmm.. I think I have done this camping.. with a fire before!...
I'd suspect you gotta have heat source and a confined area to keep that air warm.. so any other ways that you can dream up should work metal box, candles underneath (hope ya have fire insurance)
