Conclusive arguments show that such reference is indeed to be found in the Quran. There is no doubt that a person who considers the prophecies of the Holy Quran regarding the latter days of the followers of Islam, if he has a perceptive and living heart in his breast, will have no option but to accept that the Holy Quran certainly and definitely contains the news of a reformer who in other words could only be called the Promised Messiah and nothing else.
The meaning is as follows. God guided the woman (Mary) who guarded her chastity. So He breathed into her His spirit, and made her and her son a sign for the world. And God said: This your community is a single community and I am your Lord, so serve Me. But they became divided into sects, shattered the unity, and raised mutual differences. Eventually they will all return to God. And they will remain in this condition till Gog and Magog {Note 1} are let loose and they sally forth from every vantage point. So when you see that Gog and Magog are dominant in the earth, know that the promise of the spread of the True Faith has drawn nigh, and that promise is: He it is Who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth, so that He may make it prevail over all other religions (The Quran 9:33 etc). It is then said that at the time of the fulfilment of this promise the eyes of the disbelievers will be fixedly open, and they will say: Woe to us, surely we were heedless of this, nay, we were unjust. That is, the Truth will be manifested most powerfully, and the disbelievers will realise that they were in error.
The sum and substance of these verses is that, in the latter days, many religions will spread in the world, and there will be many sects. Then two nations will emerge, whose religion will be Christianity, and they will attain supremacy in every field. So when you see that the Christian faith and Christian governments have spread throughout the world, know that the time of the promise is near.

Jesus did in fact die on the cross, to fulfill prophecy. This is being borne out in today's science and archeology, plus understanding of the political economy and Roman rulers actions at that time. Don't you think somebody would have noticed if all of a sudden a prisoner was taken up by God before death, and also written about it? I'm sorry, but the Koran gets key things about Christianity wrong.

this is the other name for Jesus(pbuh) and Messiah means somone who treats the problem or disease(can be said like a doctor but doctor treat with medicine and he used to treat with his God gifted power) . Jesus(pbuh) had shown the miracles of raising the deads and used to treat the severly ill peoples with his skills.i think thats why he is called Massiah , And also we believe that after his return he and Imam Mehdi will save the humanity by killing Anti-christ .

First you need to understand that the meanings of messiah in Christians and Judaism are different from the meaning of messiah in Islam.
In Islam Jesus is called Isa al-Masih (generally means Jesus the messiah). In Islam Jesus is called al-Masih as he is the savior, helper or protector of the Jews community at his time.
He is also called al-Masih as he is the protector of the true or genuine faith at his time.
He is called al-Masih as there is a long gap between the death of the previous prophet and the birth of Jesus. The people of faith especially the Jews keep praying to God to send to them another prophet that can help them and become their savior.
(If I am not mistaken, the last prophet before Jesus is the prophet Moses. Please correct me if I am wrong).
Jesus is also called al-Masih, as according to Islamic teaching, Jesus never died on the cross. He was saved by God and was brought to heaven before anyone can kill him. Near the end of the world, Jesus will return to earth upon the consent of God, and will save all people who have genuine faith. He will save the people of faith by fighting the wrongdoers and Dajjal (Anti-Christ).
So, answering to your question, the messiah according to the Quran is the prophet Isa (or Jesus as called by westerners). However in the Quran, the messiah does not mean the final prophet. The final prophet who reveal the final and complete religion is the prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him).

If you as an Individuel can prove that Jesus is not the Messiah it will be your word against billions of others. Who appointed you religious dictator? I suggest that you stick to your atheist beliefs and leave Christians and Muslims to cling to their faith.

The Holy Quran : Chapter: 3 (Al-`Imran), Verse:46
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[3:46] When the angels said, 'O Mary, God gives thee glad tidings of a son through a Word from Him; his name shall be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, honoured in this world and in the next, and of those who are granted nearness to God;
The Holy Quran : Chapter: 4 (Al-Nisa'), Verse:158
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[4:158] And for their saying, 'We did slay the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of God;' whereas they slew him not, nor did they bring about his death upon the cross, but he was made to appear to them like one crucified; and those who differ therein are certainly in a state of doubt about it; they have no certain knowledge thereof, but only pursue a conjecture; and they did not arrive at a certainty concerning it.
The Holy Quran : Chapter: 4 (Al-Nisa'), Verse:172
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[4:172] O People of the Book! exceed not the limits in your religion, and say not of God anything but the truth. Verily, the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only a Messenger of Allah, and a fulfilment of His word which He has sent down to Mary, and a mercy from Him. So believe in God and His Messengers, and say not, 'They are three.' Desist, it will be better for you. Verily, God is the only One God. Holy is He, far above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And sufficient is Allah as a guardian.
The Holy Quran : Chapter: 4 (Al-Nisa'), Verse:173
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[4:173] Surely, the Messiah disdains not to be a servant of God, nor do the angels who are near to Him, and whoso disdains to worship Him and is proud, He will gather them all to Himself.
.
The Holy Quran : Chapter: 5 (Al-Ma'idah), Verse:18
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[5:18] They indeed have disbelieved who say, 'Surely Allah - He is the Messiah, son of Mary.' Say, 'Who then has any power against God, if He desired to destroy the Messiah, son of Mary, and his mother and all those that are in the earth?' And to Allah belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them. He creates what He pleases and God has power over all things.
The Holy Quran : Chapter: 9 (Al-Taubah), Verse:31
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[9:31] They have taken their priest and their monks for lords besides Allah. And so have they taken the Messiah, son of Mary. And they were not commanded but to worship the One God. There is no God but He. Holy is He far above what they associate with Him!
The Holy Quran : Chapter: 5 (Al-Ma'idah), Verse:73
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[5:73] Indeed, they are disbelievers who say, 'God, He is the Messiah, son of Mary,' whereas the Messiah himself said, 'O Children of Israel, worship God Who is my Lord and your Lord.' Surely, whoso associates partners with God, him has Allah forbidden Heaven, and the Fire will be his resort. And the wrongdoers shall have no helpers.
The Holy Quran : Chapter: 5 (Al-Ma'idah), Verse:76
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[5:76] The Messiah, son of Mary, was only a Messenger; surely Messengers like unto him had passed away before him. And his mother was a truthful woman. They both used to eat food. See how We explain the Signs for their good, and see how they are turned away.
The Holy Quran : Chapter: 9 (Al-Taubah), Verse:30
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[9:30] And the Jews say, 'Ezra is the son of God,' and the Christians say, 'the Messiah is the son of God;' that is what they say with their mouths. They only imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before them. God's curse be on them! How they are turned away.
