It won't do nothing actually. The best thing to do is keep your feet dry as much as possible. If it is a must to wear shoes, change your sock regularly (and clean it) and wear sock that's really dry.

Using talc can at best be a temporary solution.
The only way to ensure that you do not get any smell will be to buy a new pair of shoes, and make sure that you change / wash your socks frequently and certainly before there is any hint of smell.
Once you get the smell, you can be sure that the smell and the bacteria have both got embedded in the soles of your shoe and nothing will get them out.

Your feet is sweating and you may be wearing thick socks or a tight shoes. Instead of talc , you may try applying cologne on the feet and If you working or reading (student), take out your feet from the shoe and let it breath.
Buy the way, wearing shoe all the time increases your stress level. In office try walking with Socks alone (Japanese Style). You'll feel better soon...

you can put talc, but that too wont help in getting off that stincking smell. to get rid of it you have to change your socks daily , got to wash your feet nicely everyday or after every sweaty activity. plus soak your shoes occasionally under the sun to keep them away from infections and bad odour.
alternate: keep your nose closed while wearing and taking off shoes..hehe

Yes, there are so many desodorats in the shops.
Naturally, you should take care of your feet like this:
Try to wear open shoes (when possible)
Wash them in normal temperature water (not hot) with washing soup (I mean not cosmetic and cool like Camey) as often as possible.
Go to the drug store and buy a special cream against smell.
Good luck, men.
