"Christian" literally meant "christ-like." It was used by the non-christian community to INSULT the followers of Jesus. "Those nuts are just like Jesus. They are absolutely christ-like!" The Christians quickly considered it to be the best complement they could get & started refering to eachother as Christian.

This name given by Romans after few hundred years.
Not By God or any Holy Prophet (pbuh).
