how to colorize the black and white image?

I am given a challange that i should colorzie the black and white image, its pretty old i have no idea that how to do this, I have photoshop cs2 software, please help me that how i can use this to enhance the quality and colorize the picture

After install in image>Adjustment Choose RGB
and began to colorize it.

Reminds me of when I was a child. In grade school they use to have a white back ground and use this flat screen projector and it would project your picture of black on to white construction paper. You then cut it out and pasted it on white paper. That taught us black and white color images . This only work with the face images . Hands were done with white on black. I hope this helps you out!
