I recently met a young lady at a job. We are both temporary contractors and rarely work together. Anyway, when we met, I immediately complimented her and we had a nice short conversation. It ended with her letting me know where I might see her again at the job. (Being a guy, I took that as a positive sign).
The problem is that by us being temps, a few weeks have gone by and we just haven't worked at the same time.
The other day, I happened to find a list of employee numbers.
I never do this, but I wrote her number down.
I would have no problem asking her for the number in person, but we just don't seem to be working on the same days.
I don't want to overstep my bounds, but I don't know of any other way to reach her.
I feel that if I don't try, I will regret it for a long time.
But I also feel that it's not cool to call a woman who's number you got out of the employee phone book.

Ladies, any comments or ideas?, or tips?

Guys, any experiences like this? Please share.

That's tough! It's part stalker-ish, part getting to know someone possibility. Give her a call, she might be flattered that you went to the trouble of getting her number and she might understand the reasoning, but be aware that she might think it's a little strange too.

I would rather take a risk than live by regrets of not doing it.

You can try calling her and be completely honest. Just let her know right away that if shes not interested or has a boyfriend or husband that you wont bother her again. Life is too short, and if you made a connection with this woman you owe it to yourself and possibly her to see if it works out. Good luck.

I would be really creeped out if I was the girl in this situation and you just called me out of the blue when I didnt give you my number.

It would be one thing if you had a mutual friend you could have gotten her number from then she might find it endearing that she had such an impact on you that you wanted to talk to her again.

But this situation I really do think it is just creepy so I would suggest not calling.

Good luck!

I have one thing to say, NEVER come off as a stalker kind of guy. Don't lie either. If you ever do get the nerve to call her, and she asks how you got her number, make sure you tell her the truth. No one likes lies. Not even the liar. The liars end up regretting it.

I don't see anything wrong with that. Call her up and tell her that you had been waiting for a chance to meet her again, but you two never seem to be at work at the same time. Tell her that you just had to call her, and ask her out to dinner. Good luck.

I'm not a lady but if it means that much too you to get a hold of her, you better jjust show up what ever time she is working...thats a man card violation if you call her and she didn't give you the number herself....good luck and I understand your situation.

She could get yours the same way. Call but only if you and her are single and not married. We have to much of that happening already.

i don't think it's cool to call her.. maybe you can find out her work schedule from the people she works with and then just purposely meet up with her there

if you call her like this, you're almost like a stalker

Can you find out where she's working and stop by some day? Maybe ask her out to lunch?
