That mute little voice in your head that keep your balance and sense of right and wrong, even if you go the other way, but deep inside it exist in every one of us.
Morales and consciousness in human beings have an origin of course, they might be relative, but at the end, the story of mankind is somehow a struggle in ethical values, consicousness, morales.
what do you think? what is in your opinion the origin of consciousness in human beings?

I believe in God, so I believe that when we were created the origin of consciousness was planted in us. That's my opinion.

Any entity which can sense its own existence will have a consciousness. Marvin Minsky, in a famous gedankenexperiment, supposed this: if you have a keyboard and screen, and engage with dialog with something on the other end of the wire, could you distinguish between an adequately intelligent computer program and a human being? Clearly, the answer is No. Now, if that entity claimed to have a consciousness, could you reasonably claim otherwise, if you supposed that it were a computer? Again, the answer must be No.
Now, to morality. Obviously, religion's claims to be a source of moral principles cannot be correct. What, then, may we take as a credible source? The answer is: evolution, which applies to societies as well as to species: a society which lives by a sound moral code will survive preferably to one which does not. Hence, an action is moral if it benefits society, immoral if it is a detriment, and amoral if it does neither. Robbery and murder are obviously a detriment to any society, so these are almost universally condemned.

I think all though we are born with consciousness we are not aware of it. Until we experience things in our life we don't develop it. sure a baby can cry when it's hungry but that is not conscious that is instinctive. even when they start to play with their toes that is still not consciousness. Consciousness occurred when they realize that their toes are connected to the rest of their body. Morales and ethical values have nothing to do with self awareness. They are personnel choices.

I grow up in a bad situation and always swore to never allow another person to ever go through the same things.
I would give my life without thought so another doesn't have to suffer. Some people only cause suffering while others stop it.
Learn to know what pain feels like then look into the eyes of another suffering and you'll have morals.

Morals and consciousness aren't the same thing.
Morals are dictated by society at large. Therefore, it's society that determines our morals.
As for conciousness... well that's a question scientists are working on. No one knows for sure though there are many theories.

Morals are a learning process. I think you can teach someone to be horrible. People who come from abused homes are often disfuctional members of society. You can teach a large number of people to be evil. EX: hitler did it, Islamic mullahs are doing it,
I do think that there is something important about recognizing another person suffering that makes us good. Consciousness is not limited to mankind. Dogs, cats, dolphins are self aware. Meaning they can look in the mirror and recognize them selfs. They dont think that its another animal like them or something else.

I think our conscience is God given inside us before we are born. But I think our morals are learned or taught to us by adults we grow up around. Because if desired undesirable morals can be corrected in adulthood, likewise desirable morals can be thrown aside if desired in adulthood. I think morals has a lot to do with the society we grew up in.

Religion because this is the parametar against which you measure things to decide if they are 'right' or 'wrong'. People call them 'morals' but where do morals come from? Religion. That is why I think of non-believers who have good morals as religious people who deny the existence of Allah.
Morals are religion without rituals and the belief in God.

Morals and conscious are fruit of the Holy Spirit.
This measure is given to all. The more you obey, the more it grows. The more you try to ignore your conscience, the more it disipates.
